Usage

1. Select: Choose the number of tines based on bed width—narrow rows with 4 tines, wide beds with 6 or 7 tines.
2. Insert: Hold the hoe flat over the ground and pull it through the soil with even pressure so that roots are loosened and the soil is aerated.
3. Follow up: Push loosened weeds and soil to the side with the hoe and prepare the bed for sowing or planting.

Pro tip: After a light rain, the soil is much easier to loosen—the roots give way and the tines glide through the earth with little effort.
